New for 2008

U10 programs will be split into all boys and all girls teams.

U12 and U14 teams will participate in

1-2 tournaments per  season and

5-6 “friendly games”  against

neighboring communities on weekends .

U12 and U14 practice on

Tues and Thurs at 6 pm

 U6, U8 and U10 practice & games

on Mon and Wed at 6 pm

Volunteer Opportunities

 Coach

You don’t need any previous experienceto help kids have fun playing soccer.

We have an excellent, free coaching clinic to help you get kids excited about soccer and to help them improve while having fun.

 Team Parent

Help keep your team up-to-date with information and schedules.  Hand out team T-shirts or uniforms depending on age levels.

 Age Coordinators

Help with communication between board members and parents for each age level.

 Referee

We need qualified referees! Required training with our referee coordinator results in you getting paid:

     U10 games $20    U12 games $25 center ref, $15 lines  U14 games $35 center ref, $20 lines

 Concessions

The Rice Lake Rotary Club built a great new concession stand at the fields. Help RLSA sell concessions and keep our player fees low

Coaching:

Currently, we host a class put on by WYSA for all of our coaches at the beginning of the season. This class is designed to give beginning coaches basic knowledge of the game, information on the developmental stages of kids, and plans for fun and effective practices. This class qualifies you with a “Y” license.

“Y” Clinic will be Monday, April 14th.

We want to encourage coaches to train for their “E” level license. An “E” course will be offered on March 7-9th in Rice Lake. Call for more details.

RLSA will pay your class fees!

In order to improve this program, the board members decided to implement the following incentives for parents and interested community members to volunteer and increase their knowledge of the game of soccer.

U10 Division

Y Certified Head Coach earns $50.00

Y Certified Asst Coach earns $50.00

E Certified Head Coach earns $125.00

E Certified Asst Coach earns $50.00

U12 & U14 Division

Y Certified Head Coach earns $125.00

Y Certified Asst Coach earns $50.00

E Certified Head Coach earns $250.00
