Coach's Corner

Concussion Training - All coaches should complete online Concussion Training before the start of the season.  Please sign a copy of your certificate and keep it with you during the season.  Please also make a copy and send to RLSA Board.

Concussion Forms - The new State of WI statute regarding concussions applies to coaches too.  Our soccer association has to have on record that you acknowledge review of the signs and symptoms of concussions.  We need new forms signed for every season.  Please print and sign the  coaches acknowledgement and return to the Concession Stand prior to your first night of practice.  Concussion Fact Sheet for Coaches & Coaches Agreement.

State Registration -  All coaches MUST be Registered before stepping on the field.  Go to  Wisconsin Youth Soccer website and login to register.  If you do not have a login follow the instructions to gain such.  You MUST be registered before the season starts if you have taken the Y1 Course within the last year that covers your registration for the year.  

State Licensing - All coaches MUST hold at least a Y1 Certificate to coach.  A clinic is held prior to each season.  Please go here and find the Y1 clinic located in Rice Lake at Tainter from 6-9pm on Thursday, April 4th.  Select register and work through the registration process as directed; create a login if you don't have one.  If you have problems please let me know. You will notice as you are creating your login and registering you will be linked to your other family members.  While you are in your account please review your information, if you see missing information, or errors in contact fields, please complete or correct them.  Come dressed and ready to play - don't forget your ball!

Other Licensing - Already Y1 licensed?  If you want to entertain further training RLSA encourages you to earn your E license.  Contact a board member for details or go to the Wisconsin Youth Soccer website to find a course near you!
